While the scale of our operations has evolved, the principles our business was built on continue to define how we do things today.
The business was built on hands-on experience, shaped by a founder who began his career as a mechanic at 16 before going on to own his own garage. That grounding established a deep mechanical understanding and practical mindset that defined the business from the outset.
That understanding led to a clear opportunity in the aftermarket: refurbished rear axles for French vehicles, primarily Peugeot and Citroën. Original equipment was expensive and often incomplete, while used alternatives offered limited reliability. The market lacked a complete, dependable solution – so we built one.
In the early days, everything was done manually. Axles were sourced directly from scrapyards, removed by us, loaded into vans and returned to the workshop for refurbishment. Starting with just a handful each day, the focus was simple – rebuild properly and supply with confidence.
By solving a genuine problem, we began supplying major retailers early in the company’s journey – earning trust through availability, consistency and a product customers couldn’t easily source elsewhere.
Growing demand allowed us to refine every aspect of the operation – from processes and purchasing to efficiency and supply. What began as a hands-on workshop evolved into a more structured, capable business built to support customers at greater scale.
With a proven model in place, we expanded into international markets including Spain, Sweden, Poland and the USA – establishing local companies to better serve regional demand. While the footprint grew, the thinking has always remained consistent: identify real need, deliver a dependable solution and support customers every step of the way.
Our roots are firmly British – but our understanding of the automotive market extends far beyond UK borders.
